Sella Nevo is an entrepreneur committed to enacting large-scale effective social impact, specializing in machine learning research, global development, policy, and biosecurity. Sella is the director of the RAND Corporation’s Meselson Center dedicated to reducing risks from biological threats and emerging technologies.
He previously led the Karmel group at Google Research which included the Google Flood Forecasting Initiative, providing flood forecasts and warnings globally, alongside several other humanitarian and environmental efforts.
He is a Venture Partner at the VC firm Firstime, which invests in climate startups, is on the advisory board of ALLFED, is a co-founder at the impact-focused career advice organization Probably Good, and taught Applied Ethics and Information Security at Tel Aviv University.
