Why work at ALLFED
Contribute to the establishment of a new, high-impact field at the intersection of global catastrophic risk and food security, and have fun while doing it.
From day one, you’re a member of the ALLFED team. Here are some of the team care initiatives we foster: a “happy people” guide for work-life balance and better interpersonal communication; remote team socials; COVID-19 “team treats,” regular well-being checks; active encouragement of and listening to feedback; and regular opportunities for appraisal, training, and professional development.
What working with ALLFED is like
Our team at ALLFED is global and we all work remotely. No matter where you live, you can join our mission to help build food system resilience for global catastrophes. You would join motivated teammates who are enthusiastic about impactful work to benefit both present and future generations.
We offer several types of support to help with remote work, including flexible work schedules, a commitment to work-life balance, and established processes to collaborate smoothly across continents.
You would join a growing core team of more than 20 staff and interns, which more than doubles with our volunteers and board members. Our meetings and socials are opportunities to connect with others that are enthusiastic and thoughtful about our work.
Hear from Michael, who recently volunteered with our industry research team to explore the positive potential of improving food systems through technology innovation. Michael had the opportunity to solve problems by contributing to original research on electroactive microorganisms as a novel, resilient food solution.
Selection process
Our recruitment process generally involves participating in an interview and completing a practical “taster task”. Please refer to relevant opportunities postings for details of the recruitment process for each role.
