James Mulhall

Research Associate / Data Scientist

James has a rich background in infectious disease modelling coupled with a keen interest in the nexus of food security, biosecurity, and data science. During his Master’s degree in Bioinformatics & Computational Genomics, he developed weather-based prediction models for dengue fever incidence in Vietnam. His expertise was then applied to forecasting COVID-19 test demand for the UK government during the pandemic, showcasing his ability to merge scientific inquiry with practical applications in public health.

Currently, at ALLFED, he delves into research focused on global catastrophic risks and potential interventions within critical areas such as biosecurity, water security, and abrupt sunlight reduction scenarios.
